Scotland fly half Ruaridh Jackson saysd he jumped at the chance to team up with Harlequins hero Nick Evans for next season.

The 28-year-old penned a deal to switch to the Stoop from Wasps for next term, a move that will see Ben Botica ushered out the exit door this summer.

Botica seems set to sign for Montpellier, if reports from France in recent weeks are to be believed.

Jackson consulted with Quins winger and fellow Scotland international Tim Visser over the move and once he met up with director of rugby in waiting John Kingston the deal was sealed.

“I'm extremely excited to be starting a new challenge with Harlequins, a club with a great history, tradition and one that plays in a style that is similar to my rugby philosophy," he said.
