With the final international break over it's time to get back to the business end of the season and boy do I hope we can finish with a flourish.

While the Eagles season has tailed off into mid-table obscurity it would be nice to have something to cheer about after what has been a frustrating time for fans, players and staff alike.

With the Eagles announcing the release of the 2007/2008 season DVD this week I am struggling to think what could be included in a highlights disk from this year.

There is of course the emergence of Nathaniel Clyne who has been an absolute sensation, the victory over Charlton at Selhurst Park and Paddy McCarthy's wonder strike at Derby, but that's about all I can muster.

Hopefully over the next month though there will be a lot more to cheer about and if we can end the season on a high then it would give the players and the fans a big boost going in to the summer and some hope for next year.

Of the games Palace have left, only matches against Cardiff, Southampton and Sheffield United look like they will have something riding on them for the other side so there is ample opportunity for the Eagles to secure some morale boosting wins as well as give some youngsters a taste of first team action.

Kieron Cadogan seems to be scoring for fun in the reserves and U18s and deserves a chance, as do James Comley, Nathaniel Pinney and maybe even James Dayton who continues to impress for the second string despite being set to leave the club in the summer.

Either way it would be good for everyone to get behind the team between now and May and put everything else that has happened to the back of their minds.

Who knows, we could even sneak into the play-offs yet with a lot of luck...
