As the holiday season approaches, Sutton is getting ready to embrace the festive spirit with the much-anticipated Sutton Christmas Lights Switch-On events.
These events will bring an enchanting glow to the streets of Sutton, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
Below are the two Christmas Lights Switch-On events happening this month.
Sutton Christmas Lights Switch-On.
Where: 109-111 High Street, SM1 1JG
When: Saturday, November 25, 12pm to 6.30pm.
Lights to switch on at 6pm.
How much: Free
What will be included: The Mayor of Sutton, Colin Stears, along with the Sutton United mascot, Jenny the Giraffe, will have the honour of officially switching on the lights.
There will be balloon modelling, stilt walkers, face painting, Bollywood dancers, steel bands, and choirs.
Sutton Christmas Lights Switch-On II.
Where: 71-81 High Street, SM1 1DU
When: Saturday, November 25, 12pm to 6pm.
Lights to switch on at 6pm.
How much: Free
What will be included: The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Sutton, Colin Stears and Louise Phelan, will turn the lights on.
This year’s lights were designed by children of the Sutton community and they will be invited to join the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
There will also be walkabout acts, street performances, make and takes, live music, giveaways and much more.
