Planned engineering work will take place on certain Southern Rail lines this week, closing some lines and causing some trains to be replaced by buses.

The work will be taking place from Monday (August 7) to Friday (August 11) on particular routes and may impact your journey.

We have compiled all of the information about this work so that you can properly plan your travel this week.

Monday to Friday (August 7 to 11)

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Eastbourne and Hastings / Ore ending Friday morning, closing some lines. ​​​​​​​

Buses will replace trains between Eastbourne and Hastings / Ore.

Passengers may need to use an earlier train from Eastbourne in order to connect with trains from Hastings to Ashford International.

Engineering work is also taking place overnight between South Croydon and Oxted / Uckfield / East Grinstead, closing all lines. ​​​​​​​

From approximately 10.30pm Monday to Thursday evenings into the early hours of Wednesday to Friday morning, buses will replace trains between East Croydon and Oxted / Uckfield / East Grinstead.

Tuesday to Friday (August 8 to 11)

Engineering work is taking place overnight between London Bridge and Norwood Junction, closing some lines. ​​​​​​​

The 00:35 London Bridge to East Croydon train will be diverted between London Bridge and Norwood Junction and will not call at stations via New Cross Gate and Sydenham.

A replacement bus will run from London Bridge to Norwood Junction calling at stations via New Cross Gate and Sydenham.
