Eco-friendly performers are to take to the stage at a solar-powered festival.

The organisers of Carshalton Environmental Fair has promised the cream of local talent across three stages on Bank Holiday Monday.

The annual event in Carshalton Park is run by local environmental charity EcoLocal.

The open-air main stage is set for the likes of Wallington talent Chloe Ray, whose latest release The Waiting Room was produced by Grammy-nominated Andy Brook.

The Performing Arts Marquee will feature singer-songwriters, bands, duos and dance performers including clog dancers Penny Royal Clog Dancers, cover band Never Mind the Bongos, female vocalist Apoplexy, and the Zero Carbon Band.

The Music Café will cater for fans of folk, country and bluegrass.

More than 150 stalls, children’s activities, local craft, interactive demonstrations, a farmers’ market, food, and a bar with real ale will also be on offer.

Tickets are £5, seniors and under-16s’ tickets are £3, and children under 12 go free.

But you can also buy a discount family ticket for up to two adults and up to three teenagers under 16, for £15.
