Sometimes when I'm Christmas shopping, I dream about taking the weight off of my feet and sitting somewhere glamorous for an hour or so while I think about my purchases.
Searcy’s Champagne Bar can be found on the top level of Battersea Power Station.
The interior is royal blue with dim, golden lighting giving it a luxurious feel.
When I arrived, the bar was heaving with people enjoying their after-work tipples so there was a great, buzzing atmosphere.
We had a table booked, so we were taken to our seats and given food and drinks menus.
While Searcy’s is more of a bubbly bar than a restaurant, it does offer oysters, caviar, sharing boards and small plates.
Of course, as we perused the menu we had to enjoy a glass of champagne which was crisp and refreshing.
Eventually, my boyfriend and I settled on sharing the British Charcuterie Board which was a selection of cured meat and terrine with cornichons, caper berries, grape must mustard and crackers.
I have to say that sitting in Searcy’s and sipping champagne really got me into the festive spirit.
The bar is currently adorned with twinkling lights and as everyone around me was laughing and enjoying the evening it reminded me that Christmas is quickly approaching.
While I visited the bar after work, I can definitely see myself dropping there after a long day of shopping at Battersea Power Station to reward myself with a glass of fizz.
For those who like to take a break from their Christmas shopping, I highly recommend treating yourself to a little luxury and paying Searcy’s Champagne Bar a visit.
The charcuterie board was delicious, the variety of meats were salty and scrumptious and went perfectly with the champagne we had been offered.
The service at Searcy’s was incredible, the staff made sure to take our order as soon as we had decided and consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
As a lover of champagne, there was everything to love about Searcy’s and I will definitely be telling everyone I know to make a stop there when shopping in Battersea Power Station over the next week.
